We are pleased to announce the release of the “Analog Relax EX700 Cartridge,” crafted with the same meticulous finish as a violin. The body is made from the highest-quality spruce sourced from South Tyrol, Northern Italy—the same material said to be used for the legendary Stradivarius, as in the EX2000 model. Its surface is delicately coated with layers of “classic oil varnish,” formulated with the same materials as violins crafted in the 17th century, achieving a playback sound with a more natural resonance.

Main features.

-The body is made from the same quality spruce as the EX2000, cut down in the South Tyrol region of North Italy as tone wood for violins.

-The South Tyrol region of North Italy is a forest region where the material for the Stradivarius is said to have been quarried. The highest quality   spruce is used, which is carefully selected, cultivated and managed there, and the drying stage is also strictly controlled.

-The surface of the body is coated with several thin layers of classical oil varnish, which was used in violin making in the 16th and 17th centuries, to achieve a more natural sounding reproduction.

-The components of classical oil varnish are made from colophonium (a resin made from boiled down pine resin) and linseed oil, which hardens the surface and gives the instrument a resonant, natural-sounding, glossy surface.

-The stylus has a custom-made line-contact needle and a reinforced anodized aluminum cantilever
