Marten Supreme Sessions Vol. 2 Audiophile CD

Supreme Sessions 2 is the second release from our label Marten Recordings.

Supreme Sessions 2 took place at the Marten studio in Gothenburg during 2014 and 2015. They were recorded live with only two microphones in two channels.

Peter Akelsson, producer, bass player and recording engineer, used his life long musical exerience and contacts to create an exciting mix of instrumental and vocal music with versatile sounds and timbres from range of exotic acoustic instruments. The imosing “Requiem For a Machine” performed by Rhythm Art Duo in one of the highlights. We introduce the wonderful Cuban singer Lesette Hernandez Pigueiras – her debut recording on CD.

The CD also features fine music from Bartok, Piazzolla and Ravel together with jazz standards played by great Swedish musicians and much more on the 20 tracks of this CD. To Enjoy and appreciate the natural sound and dynamics of these live recordings, this record is best played at a realistic sound level.
